Ah, how well my husband knows me....

I decided the other day that I am sooooo ready to do something about my weight, and I've decided to try the MediFast plan. So, I was telling Sir B about it, and he told me to go for it. The only thing is I needed to wait another week before I could order it because I had a super slow week last week (read: no money). Tonight he hands me his credit card and said to go ahead and order it now....but get this. He says, "ONLY use it for that. I don't want to get my next statement and see you also bought $8000 worth of yarn". Drat, he's on to me!

The sweater is thisclose to completed; I'm finishing up the neckband tonight and hope to have the bunny duplicate-stitched on by Wednesday. The hat I'm thinking may be done by Saturday or Sunday. Whee!

Almost done

Grrrr, I tried to post this yesterday, but I was lucky to get the one post done with Blogger being difficult....
Here is the sweater. I'm planning on getting the steeeeeeeeeeks done today or tomorrow:

And here is the start of the hat:

What a night!

Last night Sir B and I drove to Rosemont, IL to see Carlos Mencia's "Punisher Tour". We had such a great time! The best part was that we got to meet Carlos before the show:

And after the photo was taken, I leaned over, gave him a kiss on the cheek and said I love you Carlos! He was very gracious. The show itself was long--he had three comedians plus his brother Joseph as opening acts, and Carlos was onstage for an hour and a half. We didn't get home until 12:45 (that's A.M.), so I am really dragging today. But it was so worth it!!

Misc.

OMG! I can't believe how time got away from me....

There has been much knitting. The body of the baby sweater is done:

And I received the yarn for my next project (Sir B's sweater):

(Yes, I have more than two skeins!)

I was able to get into Rockford on Wednesday for some yarn shoppin'. I visited the new Unique Yarns, which is spectacular. And man was that place busy! There were all kinds of women there knitting. Of course I found out they don't carry Dale Baby Ull so I had to drive across town to Yarn Sellar who had ONE skein left in the color I needed! Score!! Since I had yarn to buy, I also got myself a KachaKacha row counter, which I'll use for Sir B's sweater.

Poor Taffy has an eye infection that started today, so I have to try and force drops in her eyes :( This after an allergic reaction to some new litter we were trying that made the hair around her butt fall off! The kid's a mess, I feel so bad for her...

Here it is, the completed fair isle portion of the baby sweater! Since I'm this far on it, I decided it was time to order the yarn for my next project (I can't help it, really). Next on the agenda is a new cardigan for Sir B, since his first cardi didn't hold up so well.

My tattoo hurts today! My other ones didn't sting like this. I have it drenched in A&D ointment and covered with a bandage, which helps a little. Poor me :(

I tried to take photos of the snow to show y'all, but I couldn't get a good shot. That's right, we got our first snow today. No, we didn't time-warp into December, it's still October!

Another tattoo...

Today my sister Angela and I went and got matching tattoos:

The pasty white leg on the left is me, and the nicely tanned forearm is Angela. It's a lotus blossom design with a buddhist mantra in the petals. You can see the original image we used here.

In knitting news, I fininshed the fair isle part of the sweater body, and am working on the blue stockinette section. I'll try to post a photo tomorrow. I did really well on the fair isle, if I do say so myself, although I pulled the yarn a bit taut when moving from needle to needle. It's not bad enough I have to redo it, though!!! Ha!

Progress photos

Here is the start of the baby sweater. I have to admit, I'm liking the fair isle a lot! It's challenging but fun.

And what kind of knitter would I be if I didn't show my stranding? (Sorry it's a bit blurry)

Look at my kitties napping together! How cute is that!?

My sister Angela comes to visit next week, and she and I may be getting matching tattoos. This is a big deal for me, because I wasn't very close to either of my sisters growing up. But now that we're older, and especially since Mom died, we've gotten closer and closer. Angela and I in particular. When I went to visit her in July I told her about the books on Buddhism I was reading, and she started getting interested in it too. She was also reading books about life after death and spirit communication, and I have been reading that stuff for years. So we have lots to talk about now!
